This pool is deceptively simple with elegant, clean linear lines and a modern, cotemporary feel.
However, there were some engineering and building challenges. Firstly, the pool engineering needed to be modified to accommodate the 1,200mm retaining wall built directly on the pool wall. Secondly, the hydraulics and Astral pool filtration and sanitation equipment specifications needed to be modified to accommodate the compact plant position under the deck.
Icy ‘Ocean Spray’ tiles beautifully offset the darker tones of the paving while reflecting the cool white render of the outdoor dining adjacent. The water is a welcoming temperature too, thanks to a Solar pool heating system.
